Mount Riley Wines

Mount Riley makes wine in Marlborough, New Zealand.  The winery is owned by John and Lyn Buchanan and their daughter Amy Murphy. John and Amy run the Mount Riley business and Amy's husband Matt Murphy is the winemaker (the dynamic trio are pictured). 

2009 Sauvignon Blanc

Our 2009 Sauvignon Blanc has been released.   

Late last year the wine won a gold medal in the Royal Hobart Wine Show.  It was also selected by British Airways Business Class - the first NZ Sauvignon Blanc ever to be poured in Business Class by BA.  On the other side of the world, the wine has also been listed in the Hilton Hotel chain throughout China - its the only NZ wine on their list. 

Bob Campbell Master of Wine also selected our 2009 Sauvignon Blanc as a "bargain buy" and said "Mount Riley consistently offers good Marlborough sauvignon blanc at a great price. This is one of their best yet. It's as fresh as a crunchy apple picked minutes before you sink your teeth into it. A great conbination of pungent fruit flavours and tangy texture, the wine captures everything that's great about summer."
