Mount Riley Savee

Mount Riley Savee 2009

Fashion Quarterly, October 2011, Rebecca Gibb

Apple and vanilla custard flavours with a splash of finesse most sparkling savs can only dream of.

Decanter Magazine UK, May 2010, Steven Spurrier, Best New World Sparkler

Tired of Marlborough Sauvignon? Try the bottle-fermented sparkling version: white fruits and elderflower, with the grape's harshness lost in the bubbles, which last into the second glass.

Your Home & Garden, May 2010, Bob Campbell MW "Sauv Blanc on Steroids"

Classy bubbles with subtle sauvignon flavours... and more! Sparkling sauvignon for serious occasions.

Listener, Saturday 4th September 2010

Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc here was pioneered by Mount Riley Savee, launched from the 2000 vintage.  Fresh, simple, lively and tangy, it was designed as a "fun" wine; a taste of summer".  The latest 2009 vintage of Savee has a steady stream of small, fine bubbles, crisp tropical-fruit flavours, showing some yeasty, creamy notes, and a slightly sweet easy-drinking finish.

Grill & Foodservice, Summer 2010

Fragrant and fruity with a sweet, passionfruit character on the nose. Bubbly, fresh and easy with pleasant fruit flavours, no hint of yeast and a clean finish that has some pleasantly plump pastry notes. Tasty and tidy.
